Léo Caillard is a French artist born in 1985 in Paris.
Trained at the École des Gobelins and then at the Beaux-Arts, he has developed a practice combining photography, sculpture and digital art, often at the crossroads of the classical and the contemporary.
He came to prominence with his series “Hipsters in Stone”, in which he digitally dresses antique sculptures in modern clothing, creating a gap between heritage and present-day culture.
His work explores the dialogue between past and present, questioning the place of the classical image in contemporary society and the codes of representation.
Léo Caillard exhibits regularly in France and abroad, and also works on projects bringing together art, design and digital technologies.
