Arriving in France as a young man, he trained in art and quickly established himself on the Paris graffiti scene. He took part in the emergence of the street art scene alongside other artists of his generation, developing an immediately recognisable world of his own.

His style rests on simple forms, characters with round, expressive eyes, and a deliberately naive, colourful aesthetic. Influenced by cartoons, pop culture and graffiti, he has built a joyful, accessible visual language, often carried by dynamic compositions saturated with colour.

Over the years, Chanoir has extended his practice beyond the street, working on canvas, sculpture and design, and collaborating with brands and institutions. His world nonetheless remains faithful to its DNA: spontaneity, humour and positive energy.

Today he is regarded as a recognised figure of contemporary urban art, exhibited in France and abroad, while continuing to produce regularly in public space.
